She is con artist, who had connections with the Cabel.  She is able to help the team with them. She was born in Mumbai and grew up in Chicago. Her father was killed in an explosion.

Nichola Tesla

Nichola Tesla was born July 10, 1856 in Austria and died on January 7, 1943 in Manhattan New York.  He died at age 86. He was the second oldest of five children.

He was an engineer and scientist. He contributed to commercial electricity and layed the foundation for wireless technology. He was part of an inter-continental wireless transmission.

Helen Magnus

Helen Magnus is a 157 taratoligist who was born in the early 19^th century. She is the daughter of a renowned scientist Gregory Magnus and Katherine Heathering. Her mother was very close to Louis Pasteur, Helen’s godfather. She was unwilling to accept the limits placed on woman in her era.  She asked her father to reveal the secrets he kept underneath the mansion after being denied the entry of medical school. He regretfully did so.  He used his influence to get her into Oxford.  She was the only woman at the school, thus isolating her, and making her feel isolated. Her expertise is in crypto-zoology and xenobiology although her skills can vary. She is 157, when she finds Will Zimmermon, and gets him involved in her work. After being denied a position as a medical doctor, she asked Gregory to introduce her to his work.

As her father introduced her to his work with abnormals, and used his influence to have Helen attend Oxford. She made few friends there, but the friends she made shared her interests immensely. James Watson, John Duitt, Nikola Telsa, and Nigel Griffin became her close friends and thus became the Five.

The Five

Before the disappearance of her father, on a trip to Mecca, she formed the five, a group of the people listed above. Helen acquired Vampire blood. She and the others in the Five each took it and acquired different powers. Helen managed to help the others to control their new found powers except her lover, John Duitt. He was known in history by a few names such as  Jack the Ripper. John’s insanity kept him from controlling these animal instincts that the potion brought out. Ashley, her daughter was originally conceived in the 1880s.

Leader of the Sanctuary

For over a century Helen has overseen the Sanctuary Network. She tracks protects and learns from extraordinary and paranormal creatures behind those walls. She serves as house head of her Sanctuary as well as Global head of the Sanctuary Network throughout the world. She knew many great historical leaders. She was aboard the Titanic when it hit the Iceberg. In 1912 and witnessed the Nazi surrender.  

Dr. William Zimmerman

He is a lead on Sanctuary. He is recruited by Helen Magnus to become her protage. He had a hell of a childhood. His father died in Normandy. He was terrorized by violent creatures who killed his mother. He was saved by Helen Magnus. He was a victim of Bigfoot, before he became Helens butler. He worked in the FBI, and lost his job because his theories were so outlandish. He is a brilliant forensic psychologist and a master of behavioral science. He can uncover the most hidden human emotions and solve crimes with them. He has a fascination with the supernatural and explaining horrible crimes. These both demolished his respect from his peers. Magnus popped into the picture again, and offers him a position in her Sanctuary. He shows a lot of promise as her second in command. 

Will discovers a new and strange world that was easier for him to accept because of his mother’s death. Before he joined the Sanctuary staff, he was a police forensic psychiatrist. 

He possesses a natural empathic ability and a sense of deeper reasoning in looking beyond the surface to see what is really there.

The world Helen Magnus introduces him to be unbelievable yet plausible to him. He finds this world to be fantastically wondrous.

Even though he was less confident at first, when he gained the trust of his first patient he proved himself as a valuable member of the Sanctuary team.

When Magnus reveals her deepest secret to Will, he decides to stay. His mother’s death by an Abnormal motivates him further in the investigation of Abnormals.
